Sri Lanka is an island country in South Asia, in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka has an amazing diversity of culture, natural beauty and a history that dates back to over 2500 years. With its stunning temples, local markets, intriguing history, lively cities and amazing beaches Sri Lanka offers a great variety to its tourists. Sri Lanka holds great importance in the Hindu epic Ramayana, as it was the kingdom of demon king Ravana. In this tour, the tourists would be covering Colombo, Kandy, Negambo and Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka during a 5 nights and 6 days trip.

    Day 1 – Airport - Habarana (170 km Approx. 05 hours)

    Day 2 – Habarana - Kandy (100 km Approx. 2 ½ hours)

    Day 3 – Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

    Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya - Colombo

  • Day 1

    Day 1 – Airport - Habarana (170 km Approx. 05 hours)

    On arrival our driver guide will meet you at the arrival lounge at the Colombo International airport and transfer to Habarana.

    En-route visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. 

    Dambulla Rock Cave Temple – also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses. Evening at leisure.

    Afternoon visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

    Sigiriya Rock Fortress - is an ancient palace located in the central Matale District near the town of Dambulla. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion.

    Overnight in Habarana.

  • Day 2

    Day 2 – Habarana - Kandy (100 km Approx. 2 ½ hours)

    After breakfast proceed to Kandy.

    Visit Kandy temple.

    Temple of the Tooth Relic - is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

    Evening witness a Cultural Dance performance.

    Cultural Dance Show - offers a very vibrant and unique show of Sri Lankan traditional dances, in the form of Kandy cultural show. The beat a dancing from "Salupliya" depicting several demons, "Thelme" vibrant expression of low country rhythm, Fire and Harvest dances accompanied by Ceremonial Drums and the Drum Orchestra rising and falling to the lively tempo. As many as 12 different folk and traditional dances are performed by Kandy lake club dance troop within the span of one hour.

  • Day 3

    Day 3 – Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

    After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

    En-route Visit Hanuman Kovil.

    Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple - According to the ancient stories, Ramboda is a area, where the forces of Rama's gather to fight against King Ravana. This temple was built by the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka and dedicated to Hanuman. This temple houses for 16 feel height statue of Hanuman.

    Afternoon visit Seetha Amman Temple (Kovil).

    Seetha Amman Temple - is located approximately 1 kilometre from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 5 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya. The temple is located in the village of Seetha Eliya. This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive demon king Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Lankan epic, Ramayana. On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Rawana’s elephant.

    Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

  • Day 4

    Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya - Colombo

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Then proceed to Colombo via Pinnawala.

    Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village.
    Afternoon Colombo city tour. Colombo - is the financial centre of the island and a popular tourist destination. The main city is home to a majority of Sri Lanka's corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. Famous landmarks in Colombo include Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, Beira Lake, Colombo Racecourse, Planetarium, Mount Lavinia beach as well as the National Museum.

    Overnight stay in Colombo.

  • Day 5

    Day 5 – Bentota - Airport

    Breakfast at hotel.

    Proceed to the Airport in time for the connection flight.
